How long does the cleaning usually take ?
This varies according to the length of the escalator and the cleaning services chosen.
You can find a detail description of escalaclean services in the book online tab.
Examples: Standard step cleaning shouldn't take more than two hours.
Deep escalator cleaning shouldn't take more than eight hours.
When will the escalator be ready for use after cleaning ?
Your escalator or travelator will be available for use straight away after cleaning as we use only specialised, professional machines and cleaning products.
Can your equipment damage the escalator or travelator ?
Escalators are run by intricate electronic mechanisms that can be damaged if they come into contact with water-based cleaning chemicals. For this reason, we use a specialised low-moisture detergent that dries as soon as it is applied.
This keeps the escalator from being damaged while we clean it, and allows it to be turned on again straight after we’ve finished our escalator cleaning service.
At Escalaclean we only use specialised professional equipment to ensure the quality of our services.
Also we use only special formulated non-foaming cleaning products to ensure the safty of your equipment.
All our machines' brushes are carborundum free, as this is more abrasive than sandpaper and so can damage the steps.

Cleaning schedules, plans and contracts:
The prices of Escalaclean maintenance contracts varies depending of the length of the plan -
6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years - and how many escalators or travelators you need to be cleaned.

Do you provide cleaning plans, maintenance contracts ?
Yes we do. Escalaclean maintenance contracts run for 6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years.
A typical contract will take into consideration:
The frequency of cleaning.
Whether or not the escalator has been cleaned before and is extremely dirty
Whether the escalator is in a high-traffic area, where cleaning it once or twice a week may be necessary (the standard cleaning cycle is once or twice a month).
